Johann Hari / JRE 1250

Johann Hari starts the podcast telling Joe that he was in an IHOP in Cactus, Arizona… there is no town in Arizona called Cactus. He then tells of going out with a female “chain gang” where the public mock them and jeer at them… this is total BS, the inmate work crews do not have chains binding them when they are picking up litter and the public does not mock or jeer at them. The inmate work crew is a reward for good behavior in the jails and a coveted work assignment because the inmates are able to be outside and be around normal society, not stuck in a jail.
